Recently purchased my first truck, and of course like every other newbie I need help.
So, I have been scouring the forum for input on keeping stock brakes or modifying them. After much thought I am going to stick to stock. After removing drums, all four corners are missing the anchor blocks(wedges). I have the resources to make new blocks if anyone knows where I can get one to make a pattern. I have been to all the sites that I can find but seems no one has any. Anyone know how to help a guy out? Thanks. |

I have no idea why they were removed and as you can imagine the shoes were not sitting in the correct position and had very uneven wear.
But, thanks to all the great info on this forum it will be back on the road very soon(sounds like it has been sitting for a decade or two). Appreciate all the info. |

The brakes on my truck. Primary shoe, the shorter one goes to the front of the vehicle. Technically, the return spring from the primary shoe was to go on first. In the picture below, it is not. That has since been corrected.
