    Here is what next.

I have to strip down the D60 and get it built back up, may take a few days. It will be my first Dana regear and will take my time getting it right. Sandblast the housing and put it all back together.

Drop the transfer case and finish stripping all the wiring (intact), guages, seats, pressure washing the truck. Then will do some patch work on some rust, rockers, paint frame with por 15 possibly.

The rear springs will get chevy hangars from a P30 step van. Ill have to plate the inside of the frame and rehang the springs. The the 14 bolt will get its spring mounts welded on and mounted permanently.

For the front, it looks like I will sleeve the frame for a shackle reversal and have a plate bracing the front to hand new spring hangars in the front. Looks like Ill go with 52 inch chevy 4" lift springs (2.5 wide) in the front. May use stock rears..... not sure. Id like to get away from the metal bushings and may go new leafs all the way around.

I have a J10 steering box ill have rebuilt and tapped for hydro assist. Heims and dom will take care of the hi steer crossover. I have to have the from in so I can work out the motor placement with oil pan vs differential clearance.

That was all from Sunday. More to come soon I hope

Oh yeah..... looks like GSS Cobra seats!

Found the winch pictures. It was the hardest item to get off the truck. I thought it would be the easiest. In the time it took to get the winch assembly out, I had the hood off, front metal off and engine and tcase out. Not to mention started pulled the wiring harness out, etc. But not bad for a 4.5 hour go at it.

Think Ill start tearing into my Dana 60 as I need it to get mockup so truck pics may be slow for awhile. Ill take pics of the axle buildup for those who want to follow and post them.

    Default Look at this

Was anybody aware how forward thinking the Kaiser cirporation was in the sixties. They put a heat shield on my truck that will prevent my exhaust comming off of the turbo from baking the cab!

I mean its like these motors were supposed to be in there from the factory

I had to remove that shield on mine because the exhaust was too tight. Nice build .... will follow it !!!

I may build a custom header to place the turbo forward. Im not 100% sure on my induction system. I thought it was funny to see a heat shield where the exhaust will run.
