    Default Fuel pump rebuild

I ordered the kit from http://www.then-now.com/ to rebuild the Carter fuel pump in my '69. Any tips or issues I should be on the lookout for?

The directions are gibberish. Seems pretty straight forward, though. The kit shipped from Mass. to NY in two days!

I will also document this momentous occasion with digital pictures.

Got it apart and cleaned up. I'm having trouble getting the complete valve assemblies (3-10) out of the castings. There are two types, one has a cap with a shaft that the kit replaces with a rivet. The other is a washer sndwiched between a metal disc fitted onto a shaft with a cap that sits in the casting. The rivet/cap is tapped out from the bottom. The complete assembly seems to friction fit or lightly pressed in. Thats the tough one. The photo shows how it came out in pieces. The base is still stuck in the pump. Any tips.
