Thread: Source for Packard Connectors?

  1. #1

    Default Source for Packard Connectors?

Does anyone have a source for Packard Connectors and a crimping tool?

I know the connectors are listed on eBay from time to time.

    Thanks,
    Wart Hog

Saturn Surplus and Franks Surplus to name a few. Got some from each recently.

Ab Linn was the least expensive. He didn't have the crimping tool. The crimping tool was very expensive, going for over $100.00 on ebay most of the time. Al and I inserted the wires and carefully soldered instead of crimping. Some dialectic grease helped the fittings slip together.

I got a TON of connectors, pins and temp resistant wire from Waytek. $35 minimum order, IIRC. You can do that easily with a spool of wire, however.

You can use a regular crimper, but it takes a LOT longer. One of these days, I'll buy the $100 dedicated one.
