Thread: The Cart Before The Horse!

Default The Cart Before The Horse!

Picked up my M101A1 yesterday from a GL auction. Real nice one with new tires, new tarp and NO rust. Delivered in 1969 it is correct for the 715 truck. Been watching the auctions for years and most of these are rusted hulks. Just need to paint it, it was CARC'd in 2003, with 24087 and put the generator in. Looks like the trailer will be ready before the truck is finished so a cart and no horse!!

Nice find! They all seem to be as you said...rusted hulks.

The M-100 jeep trailers were discontinued w/ the m-151, but the M-101 got used up since they continued behind the M-880 and the M-1009-1008's. Also they are popular because unlike the M-105 etc thay are still small enough to be pulled by even a modern light truck. Although they have been updated all along w/ an A1, A2, A3, and now the M-1101 series the lastest version. Also if u do pull it w a 715 u might need one of these:

    Default The Wheel Adapter

Do have that adapter. Got it ages ago figuring I might need one. They are big and heavy.

Very Nice!!! I settled for the flat bed version M116 but always liked the M101 better.

I'd love to see a picture of it if you have one

EDIT: Sorry, the picture wasn't there the first time I looked.

That's cool ...What kind of price does something like that bring?
