    Default Anybody know what its for....

    On the stock M715 dash there is a u-bolt hoop in front of the transfer case hi-lo shift lever mounted in the bottom rail of the dash. What is it for?

    When you release the parking brake lever, it will come up and rest against that.

    Exacty. It should have a little rubber "hose" like piece on it to keep rattle noises down.

    wellllll, . .actually keeps your knuckles from hitting the dash. . .lol, ..and if the rubber is actually there, .will help reduce rattles, . .

    They could use one of those under the hood in various places too. I have hit my knuckles a number of times there as well......
