Soft top frame

Hi All. Been reading with intrest the recent topics on soft tops. Just got my hardtop off, but I don't have any framing for a softop. Any suggestions? Can I fabricate a bar at the rear of the cab and stretch it over? Or Better to find someone with parts?

Do you want a bikinni top or the full canvas top?

Full canvas top really needs the stock frame and bows since they tie into the windshield and the top of the door glass.

Bikinni top can be just about any way you want. I had a roll bar between the bed and cab on my truck for a few years and hooked the bikinni into that. Then I made a bikinni top frame that used stock cross bars. Much better.

Here is a thread from way back when I asked this question. Most of the pictures aren't working any more. But, the one in the second post shows a stock top frame and a homemade top.

Here is another thread from a few months ago about my top. I have since gotten some stock cross bows and they allow the top to all the over the rear cross bar.
