Default They say it's based on an M715 chassis...

This guy is a MV broker.

He always has some interesting stuff for sale.
Check out the "German WWII SDKF-Z 223 Armored Scout Car Reproduction 4X4".

Supposed to be based on an M715 chassis but I'm not so sure. For example, the spring shackles don't seem correct. Anybody else see some positive id method?

Now I just have to convince my wife that one of the Chieftan Main Battle Tanks would make a good father/son project or a great commuter ride....

Maybe he meant M38? Looks like a little Jeep T-90 with Spicer 18 T-case levers.

Looks like a 5 bolt pattern too. Not a 715.

Rear shackles look like early little Jeep. Steering box? Uh, early 50s GM truck?

The pedals coming out of the floor look like early Jeep or Dodge stuff. The shifters too. The wheels certainly aren't M715 stuff.

If I had to guess, I'd say maybe M37....

I think its WWII dodge could be the early 1/2 ton chassis?

It's not a Dodge, M-37 or Power Wagon. Nor is it WW2 1/2 ton Dodge. The shifters and pedals are wrong for an M-37 or Power Wagon, as are the axles. I would say small Jeep also. It is too small to be an M715 or M37, if you look at the guy standing by it.

There is no doubt in my mind that it is based on a M-38 chassis. The axles, spring shackles, transmission, transfer case, shifters, pedals, all point directly to early M-38. There is no way that is based on a M-715 chassis, . .all the components are way too light-duty. Somebody ought to call him on this misrepresentation.
