    Default newbie

Hi , want to say "Bonjour" from the french part of the Canada .... i'm a newbie concerning the m715 world .... but i would like to import one in my area. They made the history , they are nice looking army vehicle ( comparing to the canadien ones ). I had a big discussion with my wife about purchasing one. Importing one of those in not an easy task because the must passed a federal and provincial inspection. I do not any real time for big restauration , but i used to work in the mechanic domain for the past 15 years. I'm sure it's not easy finding a good working condition who can passed those governmental inspections.

I'm looking for an almost rust free truck ... need to be in working condition , i mean ,,, must start and run , need to have working brake and no too dammage body dent. If the truck still have and olive paint .... it will be a plus !! How much can i spend on this kind of truck ?? or maybe someone already have one in this condition and willing to sell ......

Thanks for the advices and taking time to help !!

In the condition you describe, I would expect to pay US$3,000 to 6,000 for one. There is a Canadian or two on the Zone here who might be able to help with some specifics for you.

Thanks a lot !!! i'm currently having an eye on a truck ... must wait for the importation procedure before making any offer , also delivery is expensive from lower states to canada.

    Welcome, and good luck.

You asked "How much can I spend on this kind of truck?"
Well, some have $20,000 and counting in their 715's. But to buy you are looking at what Binford said $3,000 would be a really good buy, but I suspect you are looking at $5000 or more. Remember Tires alone will run $750-1100 new for stock NDT's. So you can (and will) spend lots in the end. Just know it's a sickness that just gets worse

Engine are always seize .... and for what i have found .. the remaining of those m37 need a lot of love to bring them back to any working condition. And they are asking a way too much for that ... M715 are a lot interesting for me ... here in Quebec , you not often see those truck ... occasionally you can see those m37 ....
