Is the M715 hood the same, as hoods from Jeep pickups and Wagoneers of the same year model?
Thanks,

Yes, obviously they lack the holes for b/o light and the outside hood latches, but they can be easily drilled.

Jeff, the hoods remained the same from '67 through '91, the end of the FSJs, with the exception that the civvie hoods have the latch bar across the front.
You can easily remove that and use the hood. My M725 has a hood from a '79 J-10.

Thanks for the replys. I am still looking at a possible project truck and just planning in advance.

This is not really accurate. While all the hoods look the same the angles where the hood bends around the grill hump area changed. M715's use the same hood as a FSJ with the rhino grill. The same hood is used on all FSJ's with the cross bar (I think that was through somewhere around 77 or 78). All hoods after that do not have quite as sharp of angle.
This is not a problem though unless you plan on putting a rhino grill on your M715. But if you do the newer hoods will hit the grill in the corners.
And one more thing...the little loop on top of the hood for the windshield holddown strap...not on civvy ones but easy to add if you want...
Correct...yes!
