Thread: rebuilding cab floor

    Default rebuilding cab floor

anyone out there got any imput for rebuilding the floor of the cab?

the guy who had it before me must have been as good with body work as i am... which is not good. he basically cut and pot-rivited in new sheets, and just sprayed a dusting of rustolium over the rust.

i'm sure pics would help, but sadly i am bored at work and the m715 is 40 mins away

i'm guess the best thing would be to just pull the entire cab off and flip it over. what type of bracing should i do? most likely i will just GUT the entire dash and what-not 'cause i plan on doing a 12v swap and going with a more "modern" guage custer. nothing wrong with my mil-spec stuff, so i will end up selling them to one of you guys going for a more accurate resto

    just looking for some ideas/imput.

Jon, do we still have that great write up that Mikel did? That would be a great guide.
You can also just have a new intrument pannel insert made to hold more gauges if you want - that way it still looks basically stock.
Of you can just transplant a dash like Drew out in AZ did.

Unless you can do it yourself, it'll cost more than the truck is worth.
