Thread: battery set up?

    Default battery set up?

I'm sure you get this question all the time but does anyone have a picture of how they have their batteries set up on a 24V system? I had mine right but I cant remember how the cables went on since I got my new batteries. I put it back how i thought it went and ended up with sparks everywhere.

Positive to the starter on battery 1. neg to the frame or ground on battery two. jumper cable connects the + and - of the two batterys. Its that simple.

Been there. Make sure you don't have the ignition switch turned on and that the starter switch is not sticking in the engaged position. Trace the cables to make sure you know which is positive and which is negative. The negative goes to the frame under the cab.

Sure...as long as you get one big enough, that would work.

The army had one for gen sets that was the same size as the 2HN but 24 Volts. I used one in a pinch many a time. I forget the numbers on it. 6HN maybe??
