The yellow is a Gilespie and is easy to find. The problem I found is the way of making the black numbers and letters. Let us know if you find a repeatable way of making them.

Vinyl Stick on letters? I would think those would work well. Otherwise its a stencile and a brush to complete them.

as far as painting an remarking the numbers you would really only need to do the 3 an 4 ( or 4 an 5?)and the "c" top plate since they are the only ones you would need to display on this paticular truck no one is going to take it apart to ck them all

04 and 05 are the correct displlay numbers for our trucks....though some put the last 2 digits of the production year there...

My CARC plate has painted numbers and letter. I thought about Beast and his stickers, but never asked him.

Yep, I have already made the numbers for the bridge plates. I made them when I did the M715 and M35 plates. As for color, it should be chrome yellow which is more commonly know as school bus yellow. I found a close match to be John Deere construction yellow, (not the standard light yellow on the green tractors). I can find it at my local NAPA in spray cans, but I live out in the country. I don't know if any of the big city NAPA's will carry it in stock, but they can get it. If anyone is interested in the plate numbers and the red C, just contact me. Here is a pic of the plate on my M715.

How about painting the number plate black and then applying the stickers? Paint over the stickered plate (light coats) a couple of times (Yellow) and use an Exacto knife to lightly 'edge' the sticker before removal.

Used this on my duck hunting boat - got tired of replacing the stickers.... been there for 6 years now without incident.

NOTE OF CAUTION: Let the paint cure out before applying the sticker... you'll be sorry if you don't.

Lot of extra work to do that. The vinyl I use is sign gade quality vinyl which as a 7 year guarantee to direct outdoor exposure. And I have signs here on my shop that are at least 15 years old outdoors with no signs of deterioration. It's not like the cheap peel and stick numbers for boats.
