I'm not sure if this is classified as a stock topic but seemed rather basic for a modified thread. Also this project was almost too simple to post but when I was looking for replacement gasket I wasn't sure what to get and I thought the stuff I ordered was a good replacement.
This is what I had to start with.
Door seals were dried out, cracked, missing sections and leaked bad. Sound familiar?
I purchased the generic door seal kit from bjsoffroad.com (part # 10-9036). Installation was simple. I just pulled off the old seal and then pressed on the new. One kit did the upper for both doors with a little cutting. Here is the results.
It hasn't rained yet to let you know how well it works but it makes better contact with the door than before so I don't see why it wouldn't work better. This was a simple project, it took 30-45 minutes and I had to kids asking "what are you doing?" roughly every 2 minutes so your time may vary.
