Default Wiring diagram for spark plug wires - HELP!

I am ready to hook up the spark plug wires for the first time, but I cannot find a diagram that shows what order the wires should be hooked up. Someone told me the wires on the distributor are 1 through 6, clockwise, with "1" being closest to the radiator, but I'm not sure of the firing order. HELP!

The firing order is:
1 5 3 6 2 4
and can usually be found made on the valve cover.

The direction the wires should be laced on the cap is COUNTERCLOCKWISE.

The location of the #1 plug wire on the lid of the ignitor can be found by removing the #1 spark plug and rotating the engine till that plug is at TDC...check down the hole with a thin screwdriver...remove the valve cover and make sure that the #1 cam lobe points straight down at the ground and that both valves on that cylinder are closed.
Check the timing marks, should be on TDC then.
Take the lid off the ignitor and look at the rotor. figure out which wire contact on the cap that the rotor is pointing to...this is the location that the #1 wires attaches to.
Put the cover back on and lace the rest in a counter-clockwise rotation.
