I think the two brackets on which the battery box sit would fit underneath a J-truck bench seat. If not, it would be a simple enough matter to whack them off.
I seem to recall there was something a little different in the floor pan height that made a J-truck seat swap a little trickier than a bolt-in affair though. Anyone know about that?

Mine had a j truck seat in it and had 3/4" spacers on the bolts and the box brackets are shaved. It would have hit the winch lever without it. The winch lever is gone now but I will probably go back with the spacers when I get the floor done. The stock jtruck seating is the same as a wagy or cchief. Without the spacers it feels like your sitting in a station wagon or car.
The J-truck bench fits with no other mods. It is very low however, compared to the stock 715 seats. I think I added like 2" in back and 1" in front to raise and level the bench. A severely "broken-in" bench seat will make it even worse.

Thanks for the input.
I havent found a seat yet and I plan to spray the inside of the cab with bedliner. Didnt want to have to cut anything after its been sprayed. Also want to be able to replace the stock seats and battery box in the future, without alot of work.
