Default How to get this "Jeep" horn button off?!?

I have tried prying this up to the point I feel I'm gonna break it. The Jeep horn button is stuck, and this is the harder to find clear plastic button. Is there a trick I'm not seeing? I sprayed WD-40 underneath and it's like the button is bolted on.

I wish I could say I knew which button you've got but the only ones I've seen are the plain green button and the one that says jeep across it. They both just had an o-ring to seal it/hold it in place and it just pushed in. Those did tend to get stuck in place and made me think I was gonna break it too.

He means the clear plastic (sometimes painted OD) cover over the top of the horn button that may say Jeep and has the O-ring.

There is a small slot for a screwdriver to go in on that cap. I assume you know tha and are prying there already...

Maybe someone used a glue or silicone or something on it....

IRRC, the top cover comes off (As Jon said) exposing three screws that hold the horn ring in place.

There is a clear or od colered top plastic piece, that one has the cut for a screwdriver in it....then the cover piece with possibly the Jeep name on it and an o-ring on the back....illustration:

The clear piece at right snaps onto the black piece at left...the left piece being the one with an o-ring on the back.

Which are you tying to remove? I thought the clear one but maybe I am wrong....
