Default Military to Civvy tire sizes

Anyone know what the civilian tire size equivalent of the military 9.00x16 tire is? What is standard 9.00x16 NDT tire diameter? Thanks,

The formula for tire size is:

(tread width x aspect ratio) x 2 + wheel diameter = tire diameter

All crossply tires (such as 9.00x16) have a 100% aspect ratio.

    So (9.00" x 1.00) * 2 + 16" = 34" diameter

    An 11.00 x 16 would be (11" * 1.00) * 2 + 16 = 38" diameter

A (325/75R16) would be 325 mm tread width, 75% aspect ratio and a 16" diameter. There are 25.4 mm per inch. So (325/25.4*0.75)*2 + 16 = 35.2" diameter. However, actual diameters are typically less than what is calculated.

You can take it from here.

    A 315/85R/16 is real close...
