Thread: Knuckle rebuild parts

    Default Knuckle rebuild parts

I was wondering if there is a more "common" vehicle that uses the same king pin bearings, shims and knuckle seals as the M715 D60 axle. I'll probably be rebuilding one knuckle and the parts I've found so far are all kits for two knuckles... and they are a bit pricey...
If I can pick up parts from one of my usual suppliers (I'm a shop) I'd rather do that.

Dodge W300 used the same front axle.

Why don't you just compile the part numbers for the bearings and races and buy them from eBay or purchase by comparing prices on the web? Also, be advised that Dana discontinued the knuckle ball axle seal. I have only been able to find it from one source -- "Torque King" (see, https://torqueking.com/product/4936/...ckle-seal-kit/).

I've read on here where guys have made their own knuckle seals from various materials. Leather. I used some vinyl upholstery I had laying around.

I got all the bearings and seals from vendors on Amazon and eBay. The bronze bit on top of the knuckle is pricey too, if you can find it. I found a bearing and cup those dimensions and replaced it.

You bet it is! But there is no other known source of these. My advise is to buy a set for the future. If these guys stop production, then we are sunk.

They do, and for a much lower price, but they look home made
    I sent them back.

I ended up finding, and buying a pair of USA made Dana seal kits from BJ's Off road back in 2013
I think they were $120 each side at the time.
