Thread: Springs

    Default Springs

On my '715, all the springs need to be replaced. Will springs for the Gladitor fit? If so, will JC Whitney be a good source?

If you replace the bushings, the rear springs will work from any 63-70 FSJ EXCEPT the J3800 Camper Truck, and any SWB 71-3 truck or Wagoneer.

    Fronts will not fit.

But there should be some NOS M715 springs available out there.

Option 'B', check around for a spring shop and see if they can re-arch them.
There is a shop here that re-archs springs so it isn't a totally lost art...

Whoops, no worries. If I had those I would give them to you like my rear (leaf) springs. Hopefully someone here can use them, I don't want to see them rot away since I know ab scrapped what he had.

AB Linn has/had hundreds of NOS springs. He was selling them off a few years ago so maybe all are gone.

Ron, I think that he tried to sell them for a while and just got tired of them. It was my understanding that all of the remaining springs went into the scrap...

There were big piles of them when I was there. Wonder if he scrapped all the new hoods also? I got my hood there as the one on my truck was not salvageable at my skill level.
