How much of an arch are these suppose to have. I have one real old one that broke off at a corner. If I lay it on the ground with the arch sticking up, I measure 3.5" from floor to bottom of arch. If I add the broken piece to it, the bottom of arch is 4" off of floor. I just bought some nos pieces from vpw and they have maybe 1-1.5" of arch. Anyone know the right measurement for the arch. Thanks, Mike

We are talking avbout the wood bows for over the top of the bed right?

I set one on the floor with the curve sticking up and it is 2 inches from the floor to the bottom edge and 2 7/8ths to the top edge...

Sure is less that your measure....

Note, I have 2 sets of bows that I got from 2 different places years apart...and they are the same....

Thanks Brute. Tim, I might just have to. I think I will use what I have and see what happens. The six I ordered are close to what brute has. I guess it is time to put it together and see what it looks like. Thanks again, and Tim I guess I will see you next Sat.
