    Default Tail Light Question

I have removed the tail lights that were previously put on my truck, which were the wrong type; more modern. I have a vintage tail light on the right side and a reproduction type on the driver side. The housing is fine but the cover which has the lens of the black out part shows red, not white when illuminated. The passenger side is white and the design of the visible part is different.

So the question is: Is there a difference right side to left side? And if so, what is the difference? Is the bottom part (black out) same as the front turn signal/parking light? I hope the question is clear. I do have to remove paint from the black out part of my front lenses.

Thanks in advance, and have a great Independence Day weekend,
    Don

Rear big lens on top should be red. That takes care of the service lights.

Rear black out should have 4 slots with red coloring.

Rear black out brake should be a separate 2 slot red bullet shaped housing.

Front should be clear for the big lense. The front black outs should be white with 2 slots.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

Thanks, I will check it out tonight. I think that the "vintage" lens that I have on the right side is white, like the front lights. I will post my findings.

    Thanks!
