    Let the building begin...

I just ordered up a set of front and rear axles:

Chevy Dana 60 DRW front axle 4.10

Chevy Dana 70 DRW 4.10 with SRW hubs

Both axles are from John at Hillbilly Wizard. I am also getting a rear disk brake kit, U Bolts, Plates and Perches. John was awesome to deal with answered my million and one questions also walked out and measured everything for me on several occasions.

Additionally I ordered 5 Goodyear MTs on 12 Bolt H1 wheels from John at http://www.militaryoffroadtires.net and they should be here by the end of next week. John walked me through the options between the wheels and tires until I found what worked best for me.

Lastly ordered a 1979 Wagoneer power steering box/ pump and 1976 Corvette master cylinder.

I will be posting the stock M715 wheels/tires, axles, master cylinder and manual steering box in a few weeks. So keep your eye on the classifieds section if your interested.

Nice. Those axles and wheels look good on our trucks.

    Things are moving forward fast...

I am headed up to PA on Monday to pick up my axles from John at Hillbilly Wizard. In perpetration for the new axles I have removed the rear axle.

I also went to NAPA and picked up new rotors and calipers for the front and rear. While I was there I also picked up a 1976 Corvette manual master cylinder and a 1979 Wagoneer power steering gear and pump. Additionaly I placed an order with Crown Preformance for some custom brake lines.

Pictures to follow in the morning.

A little progress.... Got the axles yesterday from John at Hillbilly Wizard. Drove the 1 1/2 hours back home. Got the rear cleaned up and painted yesterday afternoon and got it slung under the truck today.

Tomorrow I am going to focus on the front cleaned up and ready. I just ordered the Blue Torch Fab D60 TRE high steer arms and DOM tubing for the steering links. I also made a call to Crown Performance for some custom brake lines.

Right now I am stuck on trying to find a pitman arm for the power steering box and the 1 Ton TREs.

I didn't see if you've addressed the huge backspacing (7"!) of the stock hummer wheels? Dually axles/hubs or wheel recenters are usually necessary.

4.10s with 37s isn't ideal, but drivable, and your diesel should help. Still more stress on everything from the torque, though.

Venom- why a swaybar? My f350 suspension is stiff enough I'm fine without one.

The axles are DRW axles. The rear has had a SRW hub put on it to make it even wider. I thought 4.10s would bring me into that sweet spot with the Cummins RPM range.

A friend had a M715 with a 6BT/Getrag/4.10s/37s. Very sweet combo and not undergeared at all.

John at Hillbilly Wizard set me up with all the parts and pieces. They are stout to say the least.
