    Overkill,
    I was smart enough to remember to take the camera, but too dumb to remember to reinstall the SD card before I left.
    I will use pictures from the internet to explain.

    Some history on my install.
    I had not owned any 258 powered FSJ(Full Sized Jeeps) at this time.
    I tried using the stamped steel CJ motor brackets, and found that the motor sit too high using the factory CJ rubber insulator. The air cleaner was in contact with the hood.
    A good friend had some motor brackets off of a FSJ Cherokee that he gave me, but the rubber insulators would not bolt to the M715 mounts, so I ended up using a 1970's Ford pickup cab insulator between the motor brackets, and the frame mounts.

    Comparing the frame mounts(for the motor) between the M715, and a 1977 258 powered J10 pickup(that I have since purchased).
    The mounts appear to be the same except for a plate AMC welded to the mount to accept the later rubber insulator.
    They also appear to be in the same location on the frame, in comparison to the shock mounts, and the front axle.

    Below is a picture of a J10 frame. Note the plates welded to the mounts with two holes to accept the rubber insulator.
    They will need to be added to your M715 frame.

    My drive train consists of a stock rebuild 1989 258 with Weber 2-barrel, and DUI HEI ignition mated to a Borg-Warner T19 4-speed out of 2-wheel drive Ford truck, and the original M715 transfercase and axles.

    I like low geared 6 cylinder trucks, and the stock 258 motor has plenty of power for me, so I assume your high performance 258 will please you.

    The T19 is closely related to the T98, and T18 transmissions.
    I have the original T98 shifter handle in the present T19.

    I used a CJ bell housing, and had a friend machine a custom pilot bushing, as the Ford input shaft is shorter than a Jeep. Novak Conversions( http://www.novak-adapt.com/ ) offers a pilot shaft bushing that I assume does this same thing.

    Thank you very much for all your time. You have been a very big help. You have answered a lot of my questions and taken away a lot of the guess work. Back in the late 70's and early 80's, I had a 1966 J-3000. It had an AMC 327 Vigilante engine. That truck was a lot of fun. A couple of years ago I was looking for another J truck to replace the one that I got rid of a long time ago. That's when I decided that an M715 would be even more fun. I can never just leave anything alone for too long, so now it's time to tear it all apart and hopefully make it even better. My plan is to have it all finished in time to take it, and my son with his very built up M1008 to Moab Utah for the 2018 Easter Jeep Safari. Thanks again for your time and help.
