Thread: Advice on Engine Rebuild

Hopefully someone can point out an obvious error or an previously discussed solution to my AC Generator dilemma. THe vehicle was 12v before the engine swap and I wanted to keep it that way. The swap was an ideal time to add the PTO drivetrain which is now in place thanks to CTAVIATOR.

But .... with the PTO standoff mounted, the generator bracket needed shims in order for everything to line-up. Plus, the prior generator was mounted with gum and toothpaste on an improvised bracket so when we try using the new engine bracket with the old generator, nothing matches. The new PTO standoff won't mount with the old generator bracket so I have to use what is "correct". Can anyone tell from these photos if there is something amiss and/or if they have a suggestion for how this problem was resolved in another way?

At the moment, I'm looking for a used (non-working is fine) generator to convert to 12v because at least the mounting points are the same.

THanks in advance for any help on this.
