Thread: steering wheel kit

    Default steering wheel kit

wondering if there is a generic steering wheel kit out there that would be a good fit for the 715. My original steering wheel is broken and it feels like the bearing may be bad. would like a beefier set up that is as close to plug and play as possible.

For just replacing the steering wheel....look for a kit that fits any 66 Full Size Jeep/Gladiator pickup/Wagoneer...you can get a kit from a couple places, like Kantner auto I think...that let you redo a steering wheel with an epoxy mix...depends how bad the wheel is I guess.

If the bearing is bad...sounds like you need more than a wheel...

Power steering? Non stock on that...I will guess the GM car power stewering box was used....thats an easy junk yard item...if I have the right one.

You are looking for the steering column I think? If so, the pre 74 Full Size Jeep uses that column...junkyard or ebay/craigslist is best bet I know of...maybe someone makes a reproduction?
