    Default 2407, check. Plug wrench?

That is great, thanks for the confirmation. Next question...where do I get the plug wrench everyone is saying is a must have?

They are usually easy to find on ebay or from some of the surplus dealers. They look like this.

It's actually a spark plug wire wrench, and it sure is a time and frustration saver.

I bought a couple of these from ebay a few years ago.
Same principle as the one Dave has shown, only this one will fit easily in a tool wrap.
Either one could be hand made with a few unfortunate tools and a welder.

I will get the part number off of the side of it so that you can google/hunt for one.

The wrench for the plug wires like I showed is 3/4" and fits all the waterproof caps on military vehicles with gas engines. The waterproof caps only need to be snugged down, people run into problems when they over tighten them that when they go to remove them the whole spark plug spins instead of just the cap. And with how tight it is on our engines, that makes it hard to get something on the spark plug to hold it while loosening the cap. Just a little FYI.

    Default 2407 Extinct?

So I tried to order 2407's this morning from NAPA....but they are discontinued from the manufacturer.

Does anyone know of a source? I want to buy a dozen (6 for now, 6 for later).

Just when I thought I had found the right plug, they are discontinued...

    Thanks guys.

Rob, did you ask NAPA to check the warehouse? When I got mine, they had many in the warehouse somewhere in the mid-west.

    Check this out:

    Default 2407.....Extinct....Yes.

    Wellllll.....

So Autolite website shows them as discontinued.

JEGs does not have any, I just called and asked.

O'Reilly's shows as Out of Stock as well (see note at the bottom of the 'Pick Up in Store / Ship to Home box in the link you sent over)

NAPA does not have any according to my local store manager, but I will check back with him/NAPA and ask if there are any in the warehouse.

If anyone has 6 extra, I will buy them.

I will keep hunting for 2407's, but I found the following:

Replacement spark plugs for AUTOLITE 2407:

    Brand Model
    AC Delco WR44LS
    Champion 633
    Champion XML15Y
    Motorcraft AER72S

Anyone used any of these plugs?
