Thread: Distributor lead wire plug

  1. #1

    Default Distributor lead wire plug

Sorry, on my phone and can't search the site for previous threads.

Does anyone know if the 24V wire plug is the same on the M715 and M38/A1?

I need to repair mine, but the backshell is being stubborn. If I'm going to mangle it getting it apart, I may as well order a new one.

    Thanks!

not sure which plug you are referencing. The rubber wire connectors are packard connectors and they are the same for all military vehicles.

No, the one that screws onto the distributor.

Yes, it is the same on the M35 Gasser, M37 truck, M38, M38A1 and the M715.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

Yes, the #11 wire is the same between most all of the M-series trucks. I had one that the insulation got bad and cracked and I was able to order a replacement one from I think Midwest Military for not very much money.

I ordered one for an M38. It fit so much better that I had to find the key and line it up right! The old one didn't matter. It just spun.
    So much better now.
Thanks to all for the help.
