    Not a bad looking top! And gutters... Could have saved me $50.

    Gotta say I think the canvas fits a little better, stretches over the bows better. Maybe the shiny shows wrinkles more.

    But i do worry about the longevity of the canvas, another reason I was looking at the vinyl.

    *sigh* I guess we'll just have to buy a house with a shop to keep the sun off my top... dang it.

    Yeah I decided to try to vinyl because it was more water repellant than the canvas. I prefer the canvas as well and after I finish sanding painting and restoring, I will get a new canvas one. In the interim, the vinyl will serve my needs well.

    If u are worried about the sun degrading your canvas, what I always did and suggest is go get a heavy vinyl shower curtain liner. Put it over your top. This will keep it dry. Then to protect from the sun, get a GI poncho and lay it over the liner. Use 550 cord and tie it down. This should help make it last longer.
