    Default Wiring diagram update

Rboltz has added some great detail to the stock wiring diagram for the early style, distribution box, turn signals...mainly data tags to clarify the drawing and let everyone know what is what.

Great work Ron! It is the gold standard of wiring diagrams for these trucks by far!!!

And as mentioned in another thread, thanks to the help of Ron and this excellent drawing, I was able to convert my 1969 truck back to the early distribution box. Reason was that it was what I remembered and my electronic stuff was FUBAR. It worked correctly the first time without letting the factory installed smoke out of any wires or components.

    Default Confusion

lots of discussion lately on the distribution box style of turn signals. Adding to the confusion was someone's decision in 1967 to violate normal wiring conventions when the turn signals were designed. For instance, wire "H" at the box becomes wire "G" at the turn switch and wire "A" at the box becomes wire "E" at the switch. Without a good drawing, this becomes a nightmare to troubleshoot. The updated drawing I created shows these wires as lettered. The turn signal modification kit drawing, also available in the manuals section, also shows these letters changing.

Ron, I looked carefully at your schematic after reading this thread and I see exactly what you are saying. I wonder if the two items, the box and the switch were some off of the shelf items originally? But I must have "Understood" what was going on when I rewired my truck back from solid state (non-functional!) to the original electro-mechanical.

    Thanks again.
