Default So the 715 went to a car show this weekend ...

Many nice cars there and enough people thought my POS was special

Sort of shocked cause my 715 is really not in that great of shape

I'm pretty sure that the flag my girlfriend put on the front was the
    reason it got third place

Congratulations! They seem to do good at car shows because they are so darn unique.

About that flag.... The US flag code states it should be attached on the front passenger corner of the vehicle. Most people don't know, but if you drive around like that. Somebody will probably get on you about it. That is how I learned what the code said during a parade 10 years ago.

Nice picture, and congratulations on third place.

I took my M715 to our local town car show Friday, and was unexpectedly parked beside this nice looking M725.
I didn't even know that there was one in the area.

Anyhow, our trucks drew a lot of interest, and great conversation from veterans that passed by.
That was the best part of all, seeing the emotion on their faces, and the stories that followed.

Very unique, everyone who wasn't a vet was asking what the heck it was. Made for a lot of talking.

I didn't know about the flag thing. It was only strapped on for the show. will know better next time!

I know all about the veterans ... my car show was at a Legion. So many stories from the guys there. Handful told me they used them in Vietnam. Might have been a bit overwhelming at times.

Looks like you had a nice rig to park next to. I never see any M715 or variants up here in MN

Did not know that either. I see it all the time in parades, and not just HMV's. What about on the rear or sides of a truck? Same rule, right side only?

Sometime in the last 10 years the MVPA magazine did an excellent article about how to display the flag on vehicles. They had sections of the US flag code referenced and everything.

I couldn't find the article online this morning and the code itself is very dry reading. Here is a link that just hits the major points:

    I had no idea ...
However I see them on both sides of a lot of military
    jeeps and such in parades.
Lots of flag etiquette seems to get ignored.

True. I didn't start this line of thought to be the flag police. Just to inform. However, if you do it the right way. Those that know will let you know they appreciate it.
