    Default 15" rims

    hey
    i was just wondering im about to have a set of 44" swampers and was planning on having marsh racing make me some rims... but the tires are for a 15" rim... can you fit a 15" rim on the front axle or will it rub or can a grind the calipers some?.... anyone?

    There are no calipers on the front of a stock M715.

    Sorry, I guess no one was paying attention. I think they work, but not having done it myself I wouldn't swear to it.

    People have used 15 inch rims on the stock axles with the stock drums...though I dont know the exact backspacing they used...heres 2 pics of a truck with the 15's over stock drums:

    Default 15 in rims

    i meassured the drums to see if i could get 15 in rims on mine and i came of with 4 1/2 backspacing would work any more and it wouldnt fit over the back last 1/2 inch of the drum . the rim will fit up to that last 1/2 inch but you should check this out for yourself to be sure .

    Mine had 13" wide x15's with 4.5" backspacing. Fit fine with 44" Mudders.
    Rode and steered very smooth on the road with balanced tires.
    I agree what Randall says. You might get a 5" backspace to work but it would be very tight on the front brake drum ridge. The rear drums are inset so far, just about any backspacing would work there.
