Thread: Titling and Registration in CO

Default Titling and Registration in CO

I am considering buying a M715 from Iowa and bringing it back here to Colorado. Does anyone here live in CO and bought their truck out of state? I am worried there will be special titling/registration issues due to it being an ex-military vehicle. I don't want to buy a truck I can't drive on the road without restrictions.
The current owner has a clear IA title and regular plates. I just want to have the same thing here in CO.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There's an emissions facility here in Longmont that also does VIN verifications, which is where I'll go when my WY plates expire. A VIN verification should be all you need to title your 715 here in CO. As long as the numbers match, they don't care who owned it before you.

I bought mine from Wyoming/Idaho. Simple VIN inspection was all I needed. I had a harder time with State Farm insuring it than I did at DMV after the inspection.

If it has a state issued title, it will be super easy. If you have to get a bonded title, it will be more hinky, and you should consider that in the price if you get it.
