Does any body have any leads on these headlights ? I am curious to what cost would be for them.

Napa offers them for around $350 a piece. They are nice, but not worth that in my opinion......Give them a year or so and they will likely come down in price.

+1 they were 600 when they first came out. Mondo bright. Weigh about 10 Lbs a piece.
One thing I haven't seen yet though, is whether or not they are DOT approved.
I'd hate to end up in a roadside debate with an LEO over a pair of very expensive headlights.

The claims of 90% power reduction are right. I think the 100,000 hour lifetime is not too much an exaggeration. But the compact fluorescent bulbs for the house do not last longer than incandescent. And by throwing them in landfills, is another reason we cannot eat fish anymore. Mercury poisoning. LEDs are here to stay, they even make flexible sheets, and paint.
Feast or famine,
Very cool stuff and something I think I will definately get when the price comes down.
It is funny though, that the newest/coolest technology in headlights is only available to older vehicles. Try to replace the moulded headlight in any vehicle since the '90's - oops
If you want some on the cheap, buy a few SSC P7s and get to work... The SSC P7 puts out 900 lumens (about a 60W incandescent bulb's worth) from 10W input power. They're about $16/each last I checked. Two of them per headlight would exceed the output of a normal halogen bulb, four would beat the best HIDs...
The hardest part will be the optics - you'd probably need to see about projector-style lenses or such.
As long as your headlights are not producing glare and produce enough light to safely drive by, especially if they're a commercial product, any LEO starting an argument over them falls into the category of people the planet would be better off without, and should be treated accordingly.

I figured they would be high but had no idea they would be that high .
I think my stock bulbs will be just fine.
A few are coming home from the war zone where many vehicles have them installed. Patience will find you one Brian.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.
