I haven't posted in a long time, life got in the way of living. I'm resurrecting my project after a several year hiatus and have a question about front leaf springs. Does anyone know of a flat or slightly arched spring pack that would be a direct replacement for the front spring pack? I'm using an 80's Ford king pin 60 and 14 bolt G.M. van rear which are exactly the same perch measurements as the stock axles and are only 1/2" different in track width from each other. However, the front D60 has to be mounted spring over because the pad is cast into the differential. I'm looking for a pair of springs that would level the truck back out.

I thought about pursuing this and I would call alcan or deaver or some other custom spring shop....The likelyhood of finding a stock swap has got to be nill, but I am in for the answer...

I welded SUA perches and ground/welded on the center section with Hi-Nickel rod (pre and post cooling for cast steel also)
1988 F350 Dana 60 kinpin (same as you) ![]() ![]() Just finished the rebuild post welding/fitment. ![]() Also used the matching F350 rear axle also and did a disc conversion. ![]()

That's a really nice build. I'd considered that, but was worried that it might compromise the strength. Plus, my welding skills are less than stellar.
