    The liner that I removed today that covered holes that I had taped off was very flexible. Not sure if this will change over time (ie solvent has not completely evaporated)

    OK, so this isn't the thin high-density 'glass mat? I've not seen what you describe I guess, but it sounds a lot more durable.

    i was looking at fat mat and other sound/heat shields on ebay, really considering picking some up. how much should i buy? looks like i can get 50 or 100 square feet. is 50 enough to do the cab and doors?

    It depends on exactly how much of the cab you want to cover. I completely covered the floor boards, the majority of the back, inside of the interior door cover, inside the exterior door panel, lower portion of the fire wall that was exposed. Did all this with 50. You might need more if the cab was completely bare and wanted to cover every inch of the interior.
