Weekend upgrades...
Added a couple enhancements over the weeked.
First- I had a couple Unimog mudflaps I'd bought a few years back- used the Teraflex (http://www.quadratec.com/products/12541_100.htm) product as a guide to make some removable versions. 3/4" OD square tube inside 3/4" ID tube welded to the frame with hitch pins to secure 'em.
Also- bought one of those gov't issue wiper fluid reservoir add-ons (for big trucks, I think) and adapted it. Welded a bar to the provided flat metal container backing to fasten to one of the brake booster bolts, and put the mechanical pump lever under the dash. Came with a double squirter fitting I mounted to the vented insert on the dash cowl.
Both work great! Major storms in SoCal... Flaps just in time-
