    Default Rocker arm adjusting nut

Can anyone identify the specifications of the exact nut used for the valve rocker arm adjusting nut on the OHC 230? I just pulled my valve cover and discovered two nuts per rocker. The Parts Manual indicates one per rocker and the Fastener List does not contain this information.

If neither nut is a lock-nut, I suspect that sometime in the past, the original lock-nut went missing and was replaced with two nuts, one being a jam nut.

I don't see why you couldn't use an off-the-shelf distorted-thread self-locking nut like McMaster offers. Grade 8 would seem to be more than adequate.

Totally agree, no reason to get exotic.
