Almost finished with the rear, need to install tailgate chains and covers.

I built protective steel light buckets for my led truck lights. Thanks Dan for helping out with the final mounting.

My cab and bed mounts are homemade from 3/4 " inch barn stall matting. My truck has a 3/4" body lift added in for a little extra room. This stuff is harder than rubber, softer than poly and cuts and drills pretty easy. Now on to gas tank mounting. Slow but sure.

Now I'm jealous! Your stuff looks way better than mine, especially the paint.

Your tailgate is arrow straight...did you do any bodywork to it or was it just super nice to begin with??

I bought the straightest tailgate I could find. The rib behind the left reflector was badly damaged, caved in. I cut the whole thing out and dollied it flat and re welded it back in. Also the two center hinges were badly bent. The one on the left I was able to straighten. The one on the right I had to completely remove and straighten then reweld back on. There is hardly any body putty, just a couple small areas to fill in slight imperfections. I also stripped it down to bare metal before priming and painting. The very bottom of the tailgate was pretty bent up too. I spent lots of time dollying that piece straight as well.

Geeze, thats a lot of work done to that tailgate. Have to say, the tailgate looks so straight. I coulda swore that was factory original, but I couldn't be because it doesn't have "the dent".

Looking better with each picture. Hey, where did you get that spare tire cable winch?
