    Default vaccum system

I just discovered that some of the original vaccum system is missing. The fuel pump has been replaced with an aftermarket pump. could this be a reason my engine will not stay running. I have check the coil and need valve they are both working fine. I have replaced the fuel lines also.

Doesn't sound like a vacuum problem to me.

If the engine will stay running when you spray something like B12 in the carb then you most likely have a fuel problem. You can check the pump by cranking the engine with the ignition off and the fuel line disconnected and going into something like a pint water bottle. If it doesn't fill the bottle in a 5-10 seconds then your pump isn't working well.

The stock fuel pump provides vacuum for the windshield wipers, so that part of the system might be what you see missing. That won't affect the engine running though.
