    Default Towing

    ok ladies and gents...
Im debating on how to move my not running, but rollable, and stoppable jeep.
Start point Tucson. AZ, end point Abilene TX.. .. .
i can either try to tow it flatbed style with my 1983 chevy with 6'in lift on 36's, with a chevy 350.. and a little top end work...

of i can pay a car courier $850 (grrrr) to deliver it for me...

or.. i could adorn one of you with umm.. spare parts or the monetary supplements to do a road trip with me in the future. . .

    what would you all recommend?
and p.s. no navy or stalker people need apply (kiddin doc)

    What's your timing?
yesterday's tractor is a good source to find inexpensive transport. With today's fuel prices best you can hope for is $0.75/mile. $1/mile is pretty typical.

If you are moving and only have a one-way trip, then towing on a trailer is what I would do. The drive you are looking at isn't bad since it doesn't have any really big mountains to cross.

Several of us in Texas have helped with transport duties. Just got back last weekend from a 2000 mile M35 recovery operation. And Tuscon has the added attractions of Jack's place who has a bunch of M715 stuff to look at.

yeah ive deal with jack... it's been a few years the guy was interesting......
and hsi dogs went insane when youw alked by the guy certainly does have a ton of m715 stuff in teh back... did you seen the "blown up" ones.. i always found that interesting. ive always wanted one of the "officers cars" that he has in teh back hidden by the fence. but not too sure if they are in good enough shape to resto. oh well.. is he on this sight also?

I've only heard about his place. Never been there but I am always looking for a reason to get to Tucson.
