I have a friend that is parting out a late model camaro with the 5spd in it. What chance would this thing have holding up to the weight of the 715 behind a stock 350 in front of a divorced 205 over a set of rocks?
I was hoping to get the stuff together next year to rip the truck apart and do a complete rebuild with either a diesel or a big block, but I would like to get it running and driving a litle this year.

I wouldn't do it. There are SM465's everywhere...

Well after looking for 2 months for a cheap tranny to get the rig going, I fell onto a 465/208 combo a few blocks from the house for $65. Not really happy about a 208, but feel more comfortable with that over the T5 tranny.

1 case of coors light. I have added it to my collection for when the 350 comes out of the 715 next year for a diesel swap and when I find time to pull the '70 camaro out of the barn.
