Default back in the saddle kind of

I havent been on much the last few years I had lost intrest in my trucks. I had a few people stop and ask about them and that got me thinking about it being sale time. So I started messing with one of them. My runing truck has been down due to a short in the fire department instaled start button. (just found that to today. )
I put in batterys played with the switch after taking it ot of the dash and it craked then fired and i was off and running. I have no breaks due to the leaky wheel cylinders but i did pull up to the drive way from out back in the woods. I am nothing but smiles. I think I just re kindled my intrest in my trucks with that short drive. Now to bleed thosebreaks an drive to the car wash. LOOks like ill be on more often.

    Welcome back.

I sold my first truck shortly after buying a second "parts" truck that I thought I'd restore. I got started on it briefly before life started making other plans for me. I never lost interest but have not had any time to work on it. I have collected a few parts though so when I do finally get some time I will have plenty to do.

    Sounds about right.
So I bleed the breaks and drove her to town to the car wash. Had a nice 30 mile drive blew off all the woods crud acumulated over 3 years, put some seafome and fresh 91 oct into the tank. As I returned home and pulled into the drive my break petal went strait to the floor couldn't have been better timming. Talk about blessings. Maybe in the morning after work I will run down the break system? maybe.....

install a dual resorvoir master, AS I believe you'll find the seals in the old master either dried out, or you had a rough bore and killed the seals, either way, a very worthwhile upgrade

also go through and rebuild the wheel cylinders, a decently quick job to give peace of mind
