    Default Parking Brake Specs

My parking brake band is worn to the metal and the drum is deeply grooved. I want to have the band relined and the drum turned. Where can I find the specs? How thick for the lining and how much can I have the drum turned?

From Appendix 2 of the -34 manual:

    Parking Brake:
    Drum diameter 7.84”
    Lining size 7-31/32” x 2” x 1/4”

I knew it was in there somewhere. You got that thing memorized?

Is there any reason to even have the drum turned? The band only really needs to clamp on it anyway.

Remember, it is a parking brake and not an emergency brake. For parking, you can live without the drum being turned.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.
