Default Damaged metal above cab body mount, pics

I’m replacing all my M725's 50 year old rubber body mounts with cut up boat trailer roller material

But I ran into a snag: I found that the sheet metal structural rail on the bottom of the cab (right above the front passenger side cab rubber mount) is badly damaged/bent/cracked and I’m just not really sure how to repair it. See pics of that area with the mounting bolt and lower rubber disc removed.

Has anyone seen this kind of damage before or have ideas on repair strategies? I can easily raise the body off of the frame about an inch I guess, but I'd like to avoid completely separating the body and frame. I have some decent metal fab and TIG welding skills and can weld in almost any position, but thought I’d check in with you all to see if anyone has dealt with this before or has any advice.

The PO had an aftermarket very heavy fuel tank that installed in the ambulance patient compartment when it was used to fuel a fleet of off road excavators with diesel. That weight likely hammered the rubber mounts and metal under the cab really hard??, squashing the rubber and causing the damage, tho just on that one mount?? Just a guess, really . .
    Thoughts???

It looks like you might be able to jack up the body, clamp that crack back together, weld the seam, and then weld some plate over the repair that would bear and spread the load.

That's what we would probably do in our Bailey's & nicotine-powered shop up in Wyoming, anyway.

    Default yup -clamp-n-weld it

Yes, that sounds like a solid plan (tho my shop favors Tequila over Baileys). I have it all apart now and have a much better view of the damage on that mount. I'm sure that I can clamp then weld up all the cracks and I'm making small repair plate which I'll weld over the repaired area.
    Thanks,
