Thread: Fuel tank swap options

    Default Fuel tank swap options

So like many others, my fuel tank has had it. What are some swap options? I know 90’s Broncos have been done, but I haven’t found any threads on it and it seems like it would hang down a lot. Any other options out there? Would someone post some pics? Looking for a larger than stock tank that does hang too low. Thanks for the help!

Dont really know of any off hand...there is a member who makes stainless steel replacement ones...maybe talk to him and see if he would do a custom one?

It is expensive but that is what I did. I cut to the chase. After reading year after year about boiling, coating and all of that, too any people still had rust and leaks, flaking coatings etc. I wanted none of that.

Hope you can come to an equitable solution.

I kept the stock tank and added a second stock tank (narrowed) on the other side. This allowed me to keep the spare in the stock location.

You can kind of see it here.

One of the tanks was very clean and only required minor cleaning. The other one had some pinholes, so I cut and replaced the entire bottom.

Second tank sounds like a nice idea.
I like the Blazer tank, sits much higher than the Bronco style. I'm also switching to EEFI, so my fuel system needs updating as well.
    Thanks!
