    Default D.U.I Performance Distributor?

My truck has been converted to 12 volt, and has a civi distributor in it. The shaft has some play, and the points and condenser will need replacing soon. Has anybody tried the D.U.I Performance distributor? Just looking for some insight if anybody has any. Thanks.

I used a DUI in my 83 cj7. Easy to install, money well spent

Thanks, was there a noticeable difference after it was installed?

It was. I did have an intermittent stall problem that went away, and it did start easier

Good to hear. It's a little pricey so I am a little hesitant, but why by a new dizzy and a Pertronix when I can just get this... seems like I'll be ordering one soon.

FInally, have mine installed. The engine runs really well now. Very smooth idle, and a nice power increase. This truck moves up hills very nicely. I'll get pics soon.

As you can see, it is quite large. Don't mind the numbers on the wires. Obviously, the company I got them from doesn't know the correct firing order.

Barely touches the pump. We had to slot the pump screws slightly to get enough room for the dizzy.

Even comes with a nice little hold down clamp.

So far this thing has been great. I have it timed to 12* btc, and my plugs gapped to 50. The truck pulls right up to 50 and past it on the highway without issue. Super smooth idle, and a very linear pull. It wasn't cheap, but it is a nice upgrade if you plan to keep your 230 for awhile. I wish I had specified a vacuum advance on mine, but I didn't know that it wasn't coming with one when I bought it. Still, it drives great, and I think my mpg have gone up too. Won't know for sure until my next fill up.

    12. My truck was switched by the fire department that it came from.
