    Default Tranny fluid

    I just replace my transfer case fluid with Lucas 80/90 gear oil, what do you suggest for the tranny?

    Gear oil....80W90...synthetic is good.

    That is what I was thinking, but I have seen references to 50W beng used?

    It has been suggested but I dont know anyone who has...and after 40 plus years, no one is have transmission problems due to fluid issues...in fact, these transmissions are very hardy.
