    Question FSJ heater wiring diagram

Does anyone have a FSJ wiring diagram that they could post showing the heater wiring?

Do you have to run the power thru the resistor or could you just run 12V to the heater motor for only one speed?

12 volt straight to the motor and you will have one speed, high.

The resistor drops off some of the voltage and the motor runs slower on those speeds...like 9V, 6V and 3V gets through and the rest is resisted...that would make a 4 speed switch.

Glad it helped there Jester. This comes up every now and then.

I think Fisherman used a three-position toggle switch for two speeds and Tomahawk used a four-position switch from a FSJ for three speeds. The other thread shows info on how to wire both.
