Default Looking for radiator opening dimensions

Looking for an assist, as my truck is in Illinois.

What are the surface area dimensions for the front opening? I am looking to spec a pusher fan for the front of the radiator.
    Thanks, George

Sorry if I'm not really sure what dimensions you mean?

The opening in front of the radiator isn't really square. It's about 22 inches wide at the bottom and about 23 inches wide at the top. It's about 16 inches tall.

There is quite a bit of room behind the opening though before the radiator core. Probably 6 inches.

I took pics but they didn't turn out that good because of the sun. I can retry later if you want pics.

George you could stack at least 2 pushers in there and still be behind where a grill would fit if it had a grill.

Good deal Tim. I really wanted to have the fan behind the radiator, I just don't have the room. Now the big Q is - dual fans or one large Taurus type fan
    Thanks, George

The Taurus fan was a puller. You have to have a pusher design in front of the radiator. Hooking a puller up backwards might move air but it won't move it very well.

I don't know of a large single pusher out in the junk yards either.

    George,
The 2006 and newer GM trucks have pretty large puller fans. So do the '88 or so and newer Camero/firebirds. Maybe two fans in separate housings can be positioned to clear the engine as pullers better than the Taurus assembly?

The last few years of the square body GM trucks had mechanical puller fans and auxiliary electric pushers. They were pretty darn big. Maybe a pair of them?
